Tron 3 to film in Vancouver this year. Kosinski to direct

Tron Legacy Olivia Wilde

Greetings Program! Joseph Kosinski?s Tron: Legacy was not quite as good as it should have been. I love the original Tron and the sequel did have moments of greatness, but was missing something. I enjoyed it, but wished it could have been something more. It did leave things open for another film which will have to deal with some meaty questions. In particular Olivia Wilde?s Quorra in the real world.

News on the third film had been very quiet, but that has changed.

It turns out that filming on Tron 3 or Tron: Legacy 2 is due to begin on 5th October in Vancouver according to VanCityBuzz

So far Garrett Hedlund is the only cast member set to return, but there is still plenty of time for the others to sign up.

Behind the camera it appears that Joseph Kosinski will also return. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing. A new director would bring a fresh look to it, but Kosinski knows how things work in that world.

The main thing they need to get right is the story. No word on the plot as yet, but it needs to have a bit more to it than Legacy did. I would like to see what the Grid looks like when you get out onto the Internet. Will we see the Grid invading Earth?

Who knows, but hopefully it will be worth the price of admission.

What would you like to see in Tron 3 and what do they need to get right?

End of line?.
