After the Angry Birds game was turned into a movie (because of sales of the game and its merch), it was inevitable studios would look to follow suit. And now, according to THR, Fruit Ninja is going to be the next app to movie adaptation.
Vegans are probably already up in arms at the news.
Tripp Vinson will produce the film and J.P. Lavin and Chad Damiani – who already have ridiculous precedent thanks to their work on How to Survive a Garden Gnome Attack – will write the script.
Apparently, the film will be a live-action family comedy about ninjas who hate fruit. What has the world come to?
