William Hurt talks about a different General Ross in Captain America: Civil War

Captain America: Civil War is going to be stuffed full of characters. Usually that could be cause for alarm, but as the original storyline featured many heroes on opposing sides you need to have them all. Otherwise it would be Cap and Iron Man having a bit of a tussle before sorting everything out.

William Hurt is returning to the role of General Ross who we saw in The Incredible Hulk. He recently spoke to IGN about the character and explained how it would be different from the previous film.

I loved playing Ross the first time because I was able to try and create an ego as big as the monster he was chasing. And one that was as warped too. [Ross in Civil War] is different because it?s a different style. It?s a more modernized style. And what they?ve done is they?ve taken a character who was the Ross from the older film and made a new version. This is a much newer Ross. A much different Ross. And I liked that a lot. I haven?t had a lot of time to understand it, but I?m doing the best I can. And they haven?t fired me yet.

Of course, in the comic books, General Ross is very different to when he first started out as he now happens to be the Red Hulk. Could we see him hulking out in the new film?
